The Dutch Scientific Society for Sexology (NVVS), the Magazine for Sexology (TvS) and the Flemish Society for Sexology (VvS) are organizing their joint Lustrum Congress. A festive edition because this year the NVVS exists 40 years, the TvS 45 years and the VVS 50 years!
We haven’t been able to meet physically for a long time now and we are really looking forward to being together again after this time.
During this congress we will look back and look forward, with special attention to the evolution from burden to pleasure. Where in the past the emphasis was on disaster relief, dysfunction and shortage, we now increasingly strive for sexual pleasure. How is this evolution noticeable in the areas of assistance, prevention/information/education, research and policy and what challenges are there still in that area? Both the Netherlands and Flanders have always been forerunners in sexology, with a progressive policy and a pioneering role. How was it before and how is it now?
