Emiel Both

With Status Plus rapidly expanding, hiring a financial expert just became a matter of time. In June 2017, Status Plus welcomed Emiel, who brought in over 17 years of expertise in the field of finance management.

After finishing his Business administration study in Amsterdam, Emiel gained his experience in several positions in a varied number of companies, operating both national as well as international. Throughout the years, Emiel turned into a real financial all-rounder and he was exactly the person the Status Plus-team was missing.

Within Status Plus and the management team, Emiel is responsible for all finances in its widest sense, not only for the company but for the clients as well.

When he is off, Emiel is a busy man while he loves to run, travel, read and watch documentaries. Living in the beautiful greater Amsterdam area with his wife and 2 children, Emiel is dedicated to successfully contribute to the further growth of Status Plus.

Corie Pel-Leifer

Corie is an American who has been living in the Netherlands for almost seven years. After completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from George Mason University in Virginia and earning the title of Registered Nurse (R.N.), she moved to Amsterdam to pursue her Master’s Degree in International Public Health at the VU University. Upon graduation, Corie found a position at the foundation where she completed her internship as a Project and Office Manager. There she advocated for progressive policies within the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and implemented projects in cooperation with local organizations in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. In addition to planning study tours, conferences and meetings, Corie worked closely with the Board of the foundation and with other high-level stakeholders in SRHR such as Global Fund, UNAIDS, and EU Commission CSF on HIV/AIDS. Corie has since worked as an Association Manager for a pediatric medical association and as Public Health Campaign Manager in the field of HPV. Corie also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications with a minor in Political Science and has experience in Marketing and Communications in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors.

Corie resides in a lovely Dutch village with her husband and two cats. In her free time, she enjoys participating in professional organizations, crocheting, traveling, and spending time with family, friends, and her fur-babies.

Bilal Guenaoui

Bilal is a creative and enthusiastic Visual & Interface Designer with a strong focus on graphic design and interactive media. He graduated in Communication & Multimedia Design from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and Media & Design from the Media College, where he honed his expertise and deepened his passion for design. Bilal thrives on collaboration, exceeding expectations, and creating impactful designs. In 2025, he began his role as a Visual Designer at Status Plus.

In his free time, Bilal enjoys staying active through sports to keep both body and mind energized. He also loves traveling, drawing inspiration from new places and cultures. Additionally, he is a food enthusiast who is always eager to explore new flavors and cuisines.

Avna Visser

With over nine years of experience in operations, project management, and stakeholder alignment, Avna has worked across a range of sectors, from hospitality and corporate services to digital innovation and regulatory compliance.

Her experience in operations began with an Amsterdam museum, instrumental from the pre-opening phase to helping shape the museum’s teams and operations. She went on to manage multi-site teams for corporate hospitality and facilities, focusing on service quality, team development, and operational improvement.

Through her work at a digital agency, Avna coordinated client services across sectors of education, insurance, and sustainable mobility. She later joined the product team at a consultancy company, contributing to the launch and further development of digital tools that help financial institutions comply with laws and regulations.

Avna is energized by connecting people, socializing goals, and fostering project collaboration to realize shared success. After her time in consultancy and digital innovation, she sought to bring her experience into a mission-driven healthcare environment. In September 2025, Avna joined Status Plus as Association Manager for IUGA, contributing to global health improvement.

Outside work, Avna loves beach time with her family, going for runs in the dunes, and attending live music events.
