The Academy of Psychosomatics in Obstetrics and Gynecology (APOG) is the course for AIOS and Gynecologists in the field of psychosomatics in obstetrics and gynaecology. The APOG is a recommended course for training and is organized by the Working Group Psychosomatics in Obstetrics and Gynecology (WPOG), a multidisciplinary working group of the NVOG (Dutch Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics).

Because of the multidisciplinary work in psychosomatics, Midwives, Fertility doctors, Sexologists, Psychologists and interested parties from other disciplines are also very welcome.

The APOG is small-scale and very practically oriented: in addition to plenary sessions, case studies are discussed in small groups and the communication skills necessary for difficult conversations are practiced.
